Creation of the dining area / Catering service / Fine grocery for the Cosquer Cave

This project is a world first and aims to recreate the cave discovered by Henri Cosquer, a French professional diver and discoverer of the Cosquer Cave in the Calanques of Marseille.

An ambitious Project

This project, a true transformation challenge, took place within an iconic site: the building of the Villa Méditerranée.

The parameters of this mission were complex and varied, encompassing not only the existing infrastructure and significant ongoing works but also a detailed specification issued by the executive management. Despite the operational constraints arising from these conditions, I worked proactively and strategically to develop a solution that respects both the project requirements and the high standards of Cosquer Méditerranée.

Here’s a brief overview of my tasks:

  • Execution and application of a preparatory study and a project implementation program, creation of an operational backward schedule.
  • Selection of suppliers through competitive bidding, ensuring the operational continuity of the service.
  • Recruitment of the required staff in collaboration with the site management (open 7 days a week, 365 days a year).

The Cosquer Cave

The Cosquer Cave, located in Marseille, is a site of major significance for European Paleolithic cave art.

The Cosquer Cave, an accurate replica of the original, is now open to the public in the heart of Marseille. The exhibition, titled “Cosquer Méditerranée”, spans three levels and offers an immersive re-creation of the prehistoric cave, covering an area of 1,750 square meters. It’s a unique opportunity to explore this remarkable Paleolithic cave art site without disturbing its original environment.
